Meet the Owner: John Arbenz
John moved to the Charlotte area in 1995, attending high school in Union County before pursuing his education at UNC Charlotte. During college, he was an active member of the Chi Phi Fraternity and the North Carolina Student Legislature, building a foundation of leadership and service.
John’s professional journey began in retail, where he worked for a local mattress retailer before transitioning to the commercial trucking sales and service industry. Along the way, he realized his true calling: to create a business where customer experience takes priority and he could establish a legacy for his family.
Married to his wife Andrea for over 20 years, John is the proud father of six children—four sons and two daughters. When he’s not running Sparkle Squad, he enjoys spending time with his kids, volunteering with Cub Scout Pack 276, and taking on home improvement projects.
John and his family have called Union County home since 2012. For him, Charlotte’s unique charm lies in its balance of big-city amenities with a small-town feel, a mix that has made the area a wonderful place to live and grow a business.
